Maira Valley can be easily reached by car from all over Northern Italy. To get to us we recommend the following routes / motorway exits:
- From Genoa: A10 direction Ventimiglia + A6 direction Turin + A33 direction Cuneo/ exit Cuneo center + SP422 to Dronero = about 2h
- From Turin: A6 direction Savona + A33 direction Cuneo/ exit Cuneo center + SP422 to Dronero = about 1h 30min
- From Turin: A6 direction Savona + SP663 to Dronero = about 1h 40min
- From Milan: A7 direction Genoa + A21 direction Turin + A33 direction Cuneo/ exit Cuneo center + SP422 up to Dronero = about 3h
- From Milan: A4 direction Turin + A6 direction Savona + A33 direction Cuneo/ exit Cuneo center + SP422 up to Dronero = about 3h 10min
- From France: Route Nationale 100 + SS21 [Colle della Maddalena] + SP422 to Dronero
- From France: M97 + SP255 [Colle della Lombarda] + SS21 + SP422 to Dronero

Public transport
The Maira Valley can also be reached using local public transport services.In detail, there are two bus lines that departing from Cuneo reach the lower valley in the villages of Dronero and Roccabruna or cross it entirely until reaching the village of Acceglio.
- Line 92: Cuneo - Dronero - Roccabruna
- Line 78: Cuneo - Acceglio

Train
Or you can opt for the railway lines. The closest station is that of Cuneo. To reach Cuneo the main connections are:
- Turin - Fossano + Fossano - Cuneo = about 1h 30min, 1 change
- Turin - Cuneo = about 1h 10min, direct
- Milan - Turin + Turin - Fossano + Fossano - Cuneo = about 3h 30min, 2 changes
- Milan - Turin + Turin - Cuneo = about 2h 30min, 1 change
- Genoa - Savona + Savona - Fossano + Fossano - Cuneo = about 3h, 2 changes
